Selecting a Door System

Door System

Door Name is configured when you create a new door

Usage defines the primary usage for the door and sets the products to the manufacturer most recommended selections.

Type refers to whether it is a swing, auto swing or automatic slider door.

Material refers to the material used for the door such as wood, aluminum or hollow metal.

Core Type refers to the interior of the door structure.  Polystyrene makes the door lighter, stiffeners make the door more sturdy etc.

Min. Fire Rating refers to the minimum time a door has to survive a fire.

Design Style refers to the design of the door, such as small lite, dual lite, storefront etc.

Traffic refers to the amount of traffic a door will see to determine the thickness of the steel.

Configuration refers to single, left or right, pair and size of door

System is the products that meet the selected requirements above.

Glazing Unit Selections

Set Glazing Type

Set Lite Type

Check box for type of lite (Vision, Spandrel, Low-E or Argon filled).If Spandrel is selected, two more fields for spandrel color and product will appear. 

Set Color

Set Glass Thickness

Set Product -  Once the above glazing info is specified, the glazing units that meet the selected requirements will be displayed.

Multiple independed glazing settings may be available as [1] [2] next to the Glazing Title
