Material refers to the material
the door frame is made of, such as wood, or aluminum.
Gauge refers the the thickness of the framing material
Attachment refers to
how the frame attaches to the wall. For cap frames, the wall must be smaller than the throat of the
frame.
Type refers to the type of attachment style that is to be
used with this frame
System defines the products that are available after the
above selections are made.
Face refers to the face thickness of the door frame
Depth refers to the depth of the door frame. Cap
frames must have a depth equal to the throat plus the gauge of the
material.
Throat refers to the framing opening that either butts up
to a wall or caps a wall. The throat must be at least the width of the
wall when using the CAP FRAME attachment type.
Rabbits refer to the
distance from the front or back of the
frame to the door stop.
Stop is the
protruding part of the frame that prevents a door from swinging
a
particular direction and lines up the locking
mechanism.
Check the box for either Left and/or right
sidelite and enter the size if needed.
Select Transom and size if needed.
Specify Frame Opening size required.
