 Installation

The design studio is a web based tool that uses your browser (internet explorer, firefox, etc.) to display selections and results.  The program uses the Java runtime environment to interact with the large amount of products that can be configured.  This requires installation of java if you do not already have it installed.  The JRE installation is a product of Sun Microsystems and is used in many different interactive websites.

The design studio also offers direct export from REVIT™ and requires a plug-in to be installed to allow the data to be transferred back and forth from REVIT™.  REVIT™ is a product of AutoDesk and is a BIM "Building Information Modeler".  This plug-in only needs to be installed when using the program with REVIT™.
