Selecting an Exterior Wall

Basic Wall System Selection - Interior Wall

Elevation refers to the name given to this elevation.

Wall Type defines whether it is an interor or exterior wall, and the load bearing requirements.

Framing Type refers to the type of stud used such as wood or steel.

Test Number refers to the materials that pass a specific test grade.

Area creates a square footage for the wall.

Fire Rating refers to how long a wall must remain intact in a fire.

Minimum STC is

Insulation refers to the insulation that is applied in between the studs.

Wall Thickness narrows the system choices by specifying the thickness the wall system should be.

System is the list of materials that can be used based on the selections made above.

Wall Texture and Finish - Exterior and Interior

Wall Texture refers to the surface texture, flat, troweled, swirl or other.

Check the radial box for finish such as flat, semi-gloss or full gloss

Finish refers to the specific color for the interior wall.

Search allows a color template to be viewed to select a color range to show under finish to narrow the color options.
