Products that you can currently configure in ADS: BIM Import \ Export: Import BIM model data directly from programs such as REVIT directly into ADS for product selections and configuration. Once selections are finished, export the product information and model detail back into the BIM program. Automated Specification Generator: By selecting products, you are defining the criteria used to bid a job. We extract this criteria and place it in a specification template used by many architects when sending for quotes. Not only can these be opened in .RTF format and imported into existing specifications, they can be emailed directly to the estimators along with pertinent data such as CAD Drawings. CAD Drawings: All model data is planned into 2D Cad drawings that can be downloaded and adjusted or sent directly to general contractors for estimates. Budget Estimates: By creating pricing catalogs with average product pricing, we can estimate more accurately the true costs of the materials. These costs can be shown as simple as cost per square foot, or can even be broken down by product averages. Detailed Materials List: ADS calculates materials used based on the material size and elevation information to give accurate material lists. ADS can tell you how many bricks it will take on an exterior of a building based on the brick size, standard mortar joint and building dimensions. Error Checking: Often during the selection process, products that may have issues are red flagged or brought to your attention. For example; if you select a door that is physically thicker than the wall that it will reside in, it will alert you to this inconsistency. If wood studs are used around a fire door, it will alert you to the incompatibility. Error checking can even tell the architect when walls don't line up correctly or will automatically resize the wall to match the products selected. Export to ePartners: ePartners based estimating software is the leader in estimating software for glaziers. Create an export file that can be opened directly into their estimating software so that a quick and effective bid can be done without even having to create each elevation from scratch. The estimator can check for changes that they would make in the system, make their adjustments and generate a bid proposal quicker. Changes that they make can even be imported back to ADS to be updated on the BIM model. |
